6:30 pm to 8:30 pm (IST)
Design your experiments with the help of AI, and go step by step from the basics of experimental design to Structural Equation Modelling. Everything runs on Google Colab with ready-made notebooks shared with you.
No coding knowledge is required.
Resource Person- Associate Professor from IIM
Faculty brings extensive academic and research experience in publishing experimental methods and has a strong record of publishing in A and A* journals.
Key Learning Outcomes
· You will be able to design experiments for your study
· You will be able to understand how AI can be used to design experiments
· You will be able to apply advance experimental techniques
Workshop Schedule and Content
Day 1 (24 Nov): Designing Experiments with AI
· Experimental vs. observational research: confounds, control and random assignment
· From research question to hypotheses to treatment conditions
· Building stimuli, vignettes and scenarios with AI, then judging their realism and fit
· Manipulation checks, attention checks and human pretesting of AI-built stimuli
Day 2 (25 Nov): Applying Statistical Tools
· Getting started in Google Colab with ready-to-use Python notebooks, with no coding needed
· t-tests, one-way ANOVA and ANCOVA for experimental data
· Factorial ANOVA (2×2, 2×3) and testing interaction effects
· Reading and interpreting outputs, including effect sizes reviewers expect
Day 3 (26 Nov): Multi-Factor and Complex Experimental Designs
· Between-subjects vs. within-subjects designs: strengths and trade-offs
· Designing experiments that test interaction effects
· Multi-factor and multi-study designs
· Protecting internal validity: demand effects, confounded manipulations, robustness checks
· Linking empirical results back to theory
Day 4 (27 Nov): Mediation and Moderation using SEM
· The logic of mediators and moderators in experiments
· Testing mediation with bootstrapped indirect effects in SEM
· Testing moderation through interaction terms and multi-group SEM
· Reporting experiments the way top journals expect, plus an open Q&A clinic
