The Reviewers’ Room: How Reviewers Read, Understand, and Improve a Manuscript

Present your work, receive expert feedback, and improve your research.

The Reviewers’ Room is a live research clinic for scholars who want to understand how experts read, critique, and improve research. The room covers research in marketing, economics, finance, and human resource management, with methodological expertise in qualitative research, quantitative research, experiments, econometrics, and systematic literature reviews.

Up to 25 selected proposals from participants will be invited to present their work in a concise five-slide pitch and receive structured feedback from the review panel. The wider audience will learn how to frame a research problem, present a research idea clearly, justify a methodological choice, and ask for the right kind of feedback.

Live Research Clinic

Participants whose proposals are selected will present their work in a concise five-slide pitch. Experts will provide structured feedback on the research problem, gap or tension, research design, intended contribution, methodological fit, and the specific issue identified by the scholar.

The wider audience will learn from each pitch and feedback conversation. They will also learn how to make a research presentation, respond to expert questions, and convert feedback into a practical revision plan.

Pitch Submission Requirements

Your presentation must contain exactly five slides

No separate title slide is required. The research title should appear on Slide 1.

3. Research Design

Proposed or completed research design. Mention the method, data or participants, context, key variables or concepts, and proposed analysis where relevant.

4. Intended Contribution

Expected contribution. What will the study add to theory, evidence, method, policy, or management practice?
